Ben Marsh

Director, The American School of Kinshasa

Ben Marsh is an experienced international school leader committed to fostering collaborative and sustainable school growth. With over 25 years in education, including 18 years in leadership, he has worked in the United States, Lesotho, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Myanmar, and the Democratic Republic of Congo as both a teacher and school leader. His leadership focuses on empowering educators, enhancing student learning, and building systems that drive long-term success.

Ben holds a Bachelor’s degree from Montana State University and a Master’s in Education. Passionate about inclusive, high-performing school communities, he champions strategic planning, faculty development, and operational excellence to support institutional growth.

As Director of The American School of Kinshasa (TASOK), Ben aligns the school’s mission with forward-thinking initiatives, focusing on academic innovation, faculty support, and infrastructure improvements. He believes that strong relationships, a clear vision, and a shared purpose are key to meaningful progress.

Ben lives in Kinshasa with his wife, Lara, and their two cats, Tiger and Ricky. He enjoys exploring the outdoors and discovering new places with his family.

Dominic Masters

Secondary Principal, The International School of Macao

Dominic Masters is in his tenth year at TIS and currently serves as the Secondary Principal. Prior to this role, he was the Middle School Vice-Principal for five years, bringing continuity and a deep understanding of the school community to his leadership. Originally from Wales, Dominic has worked in China, Hong Kong, and Macau.

He holds an MSc in Educational Leadership and Management and is passionate about continuing to learn and apply his learning in school. He strongly believes that Education should be holistic and focusing on the development of the whole child. Building resilience and building character are essential to a child’s growth, and he sees co-curricular activities and service/volunteer activities as powerful tools for nurturing future leaders.

Greg Smith

Greg was appointed to the role of International Schools Services (ISS) Vice President with responsibility for the Asia Pacific region in August 2018 and is responsible for the oversight, management and support of international schools through a range of services including consulting, recruitment, supplies and professional development for educators and leaders.

He has more than thirty-five years of experience as an educator and leader in private and public schools in Australia and abroad. His career began in Western Australia’s public school system where he was a teacher, school advisor, principal and superintendent. He has held several international school leadership positions in Asia, most recently as the Head of School at Shekou IS in Shenzhen. As an international school leader he was Head of Vientiane International School in Laos, and principal and curriculum director at the International School of Beijing.

Outside of educational leadership, he was a co-founder of Schrole Group. He is a Board member of multiple ISS and independent international schools, and is the Chair of the Australian Chamber of Commerce in South China.

Haddy Allen Salgado

Head of School, British Columbia International School (BCISB)

Haddy Allen Salgado is originally from Toronto, Canada, and has over 15 years of international experience as both a teacher and school administrator, as well as serving as Managing Director for a global education recruitment firm. She holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Toronto and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Framingham State University.
Haddy has worked across the Middle East, Central America, and Southeast Asia in both Tier 1 and start-up schools. With extensive expertise in multiple curricula, school accreditation, and institutional growth, she is passionate about sharing her journey and supporting new teachers as they navigate the international education landscape.

Howard Stribbell

Chief Learning Officer, 21C Learning. Howard has more than 15 years of experience as a principal of international schools and has served as school director and board member of many international schools. Through more than 20 years of experience in campus operation and management, Howard has demonstrated outstanding campus construction and system integration capabilities. He founded the Canadian Overseas Schools Association (COSA) and served as President of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Macau. Howard has a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from The University of Lethbridge and carried his PhD in Technology Education and Management from Assumption University, Thailand in 2022. Howard is also a Co-Founder of International Education Solutions - IES

Jacqueline Mallais

International Teacher Consultant, JPMint Consulting

Jacqueline Mallais, M.Ed., M.A., is a former international teacher and school leader with 20+ years of experience in seven countries on four continents. Since heading overseas in 1996, she has helped a large number of teachers secure amazing opportunities abroad. Originally from Ottawa, Canada, now living in beautiful Queretaro, Mexico, she offers her consulting services to teachers & leaders looking for personal help and guidance on their overseas job search journey.

John Woodberry

Founder, Red Dragon Education

John Woodberry helps international schools strengthen teacher training, recruitment, and leadership. With more than 25 years of experience across Asia, he understands what schools, teachers, and universities need to thrive. He bridges policy, strategy, and people — and ensures ideas turn into action.

John specializes in building teacher pipelines, designing smarter CPD, and supporting school growth in Asia. His passion is driving educational innovation by harnessing technology to enhance both online and offline learning. He holds an NPQH, a PGCE, and an M.Ed in Educational Leadership and Administration.

Beyond school leadership, John’s team provides academic support for students preparing to attend boarding schools in the UK, US, and Australia, and advises UK schools entering and succeeding in the Chinese market.

Jose (Tico) Oms

Leadership Coach and Consultant, Oms Leadership Coaching

Tico is the founder of Oms Leadership Coaching, serves of the board of AAICIS, and supports leadership development programs. He brings a wealth of experience from a dynamic international career spanning both business and education. Initially, Tico excelled in the technology sector, holding leadership roles such as Asia Pacific Laptop Product Manager for Dell Computer Corporation in Japan and Malaysia, Director of Operations for MWEB Corporation in Thailand, and serving with LTV Aerospace & Defence Corporation in Texas.

Over the past twenty years, Tico has made a significant impact in international education across the US, Germany, Singapore, Thailand, Japan, and Switzerland. He has held a variety of leadership positions, including teacher, department chair, research and development director, and principal. Despite his broad experience, Tico remains a teacher at heart, channeling his passion into supporting individuals and organizations through consulting, coaching, and workshops.

Tico holds an MEd from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He also serves on the board of AAICIS and leads the Aspiring Leaders of Color program for AIELOC. A true global citizen, he speaks multiple languages fluently, including Spanish, Japanese, Italian, and Thai.

Kate O'Connell

Independent Education Consultant

Kate O'Connell helps international school leaders and leadership teams on their journey to achieving their personal and professional visions, through strategic consulting, coaching and facilitating workshops. A former Head of School, Kate is an accomplished IB educator, workshop leader, IB evaluation leader, certified coach through an ICF/NLP program, and speaker with nearly 30 years of experience in education, sustainability, and inclusion. She has worked with over 30 schools in 15 countries across four continents.

In addition to leading workshops for the International Baccalaureate, Kate collaborates with organizations like Compass Education and Trust-Based Observations, as well as designing her own Human-Centered Design workshops entitled ‘From Vision to Impact’. When she's not facilitating or coaching, Kate enjoys sharing her insights at conferences and spending time with her two teenagers.

Katie O'Flynn

Founder and Consultant, EmpoweredHR

Katie brings over 15 years of leadership experience driving organisational success through people-focused strategies. With a background in international education and business, she combines practical, results-driven solutions with a strong commitment to developing high-performing teams and positive workplace cultures. As former Director of Wellington College China Management (Hong Kong) and Senior HR Business Partner for the Wellington College China Group, Katie played a key role in supporting group-wide growth, new campus development, and establishing robust people and HR foundations across eight schools.

Leah Dushenski

Head of School, Canadian International School of Phnom Penh
Leah is a lifelong educator with over 30 years of experience inspiring learning and leading change. She currently serves as the Head of School at the Canadian International School of Phnom Penh, where she leads with vision and a commitment to building thriving learning communities. Over her career, Leah has worn many hats—classroom teacher, assistant principal, district leader, university professor, senior manager, and head of school—giving her a deep understanding of the education journey from every angle. With a Master of Education degree in Leadership and School Improvement, she is passionate about nurturing well-being, sparking professional growth, and mentoring the next generation of leaders. Leah is known for her thoughtful, engaging approach that leaves audiences ready to take action. Beyond school leadership, she enjoys yoga and cycling, which keep her grounded and energized.

Ryan Persaud

Ryan has been in education for 20 years and worked for schools on 3 different continents. Ryan is an innovator and progressive educator, pushing the boundaries of education as a design thinker, inquirer, project based educator, and social justice advocate.

Ryan is currently the Head of School at VERSO International School. He recently moved to Thailand from Brazil, where he was serving as the Director of IT and Innovation at the International School of Curitiba. Ryan has spent 20 years in Education, working in Thailand, Brazil, South Korea, and Canada. He has served such roles as Assistant Director of Teaching and Learning, Instructional Program Leader, and Classroom Teacher. He is a Doctoral Candidate in Educational Leadership from the University of Western, Ontario, holds a Bachelors in Education and Masters in Education from the University of Toronto, and a Bachelors in Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University.

Simon Probert

Executive Headmaster, Wycombe Abbey School Hangzhou

Simon Probert is currently the Executive Headmaster at Wycombe Abbey Hangzhou in China, and has been a senior leader in schools in mainland China for over 10 years. He recently completed his doctorate examining perceptions of internationalism in British international schools. During this research, he has published a number of papers, most notably on the changing international education market in Asia. He has a book coming out in November 2025 examining the Rise of International Schools in East Asia with an explicit focus on the challenges of glocalising curriculum, school policy and staffing in international schools (published by Routledge).

Stacy Stephens

Director, The International Educator. Stacy began serving in international schools in 2001. From Kuwait to Argentina, India, China and Malaysia Stacy has developed a strong skill set related to system-wide thinking, planning, and implementation. She has served as a Director of Learning for the past decade at the American School of New Delhi and at the International School of Beijing and the International School of Kuala Lumpur she also took the lead on Strategic Planning and implementation. She has a masters in Educational Leadership and substantial training and commitment to facilitative decision-making and leadership processes. She calls the West Coast of the US home and is happy anywhere in Washington, Oregon, or California where all of her family and friends live.

Warren Reid

Founder & CEO, NEMNET

Warren Reid is the Founder and CEO of NEMNET Diversity Recruitment, a US based recruitment and human resource consulting firm that assists over 500 public and private schools, k-12, in the recruitment, development and retention of diverse teachers and school administrators. With over 30 years of experience in diversity recruitment, Warren has partnered with independent and international schools to strengthen their hiring practices and build inclusive communities. He is a frequent speaker and workshop facilitator on diversity, equity, inclusion and global recruitment trends and is the author of the forthcoming book Commitment vs Concern: A Guide to Diversity Recruitment in K-12 Independent Schools. Warren is passionate about helping educators position themselves for success in a changing hiring landscape.

Justin Hardman

Justin has a passion to support schools in better integration of technology into school programs with a focus on strategy, leadership and planning for systemic change. He has a background in programming and web development including development of a customized learning platform that was featured in conferences from Washington DC, Shanghai and Singapore and in international ed-tech publications.

He was previously Director of Technology at Hong Kong International School where he led the school through a variety of digital learning initiatives including development of a customized solutions, leading a technology planning process and implementing at 1:1 laptop rollout.

Justin has a Bachelors in Economics from the University of Queensland, is a Google Certified Trainer and an Apple Distinguished Educator. He is a New Zealand and Australian citizen but has lived in Hong Kong longer than anywhere else.

Benjamin Sheridan

Ben Sheridan has been a proud educator for 18 years. He has taught in international schools in Thailand, India, Cambodia, Korea, and Indonesia. Ben has worked as a classroom teacher, learning innovation coach, technology coordinator, instructional designer, university lecturer, and consultant. Ben is passionate about using sound pedagogy together with innovative technology to accelerate learning. He feels technology can be leveraged to enhance literacy, increase student motivation and engagement, and empower students to take control of their learning. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership with a focus on professional learning.
