According to NCTM and Cobb at all, meaningful learning in mathematics is characterized by connections, conceptual understanding, problem-solving, multiple representation, communication and reasoning, reflection and metacognition, transfer of learning, and social interaction. Meaningful learning in mathematics fosters critical thinking, creativity, and the ability to apply mathematical knowledge to solve complex problems. It equips students with the skills and mindset necessary for success in high school and beyond.
