Professional Learning - Author Lab
Turn your expertise into a book worth publishing
Author Lab is a six-month online program from 21C Learning Press for educators who have expertise worth sharing and a book they have been meaning to write. You will work with a small cohort of fellow practitioner-writers to shape your idea, write your manuscript and start building the audience that will be waiting when it is published.
Founding cohort: 1 December 2026 – 1 June 2027
How it works
You’re not just writing a book. You’re becoming an author. The Lab gives you the structure, accountability and small-group support to work through the full arc of a serious non-fiction book, from shaping the idea to drafting, feedback and revision.

Every two weeks
Meet your cohort online for a live 60-minute session: a focused topic, work-in-progress sharing and structured peer feedback.

Put in a weekly minimum of book work to keep your manuscript moving. The minimum is a floor, not a target.

Who this is for
Teachers, school leaders and education consultants with something distinctive to say. You might have a classroom approach others keep asking about, a school transformation worth learning from, or a framework that deserves a wider audience. You don’t need to have written a book before. You do need expertise, an idea and the willingness to do the work.
The time commitment is flexible. The commitment itself is not.
