When we think about school, one of our first thoughts might be of grades. Long a central focus of education, educators, and institutions, they have become an integral part of the teaching and learning process around the world. But should they be? Do they do more harm than good? Do we still need them? Can we live without them? What else is there?
This presentation will look at the history, purpose, and alternatives to traditional grades in education, and the role grades play in 21st century learning.
