PBL in Action: Rewriting the Curriculum

Past Webinar

Overview

Using the PBL ( Project Based Learning ) cycle based on students deepening their understanding of their core curriculum learning, using their learning in real world experiences and capturing their learning through a portfolio. Through a hybrid model of online classes, in-school workshops and hands-on field work, students build professional skills in fields like biology, law, architecture, medicine and archaeology, preparing for real life futures. This programme is a flexible and inclusive approach providing all learners, regardless of ability the opportunity to develop real life experiences. It features personalised guidance, adaptive resources and pathways, culminating in portfolio assessments which can produce university level work like biodiversity reports or heritage studies. The PBL cycle of learning encourages independence and resilience, building student efficacy and well being.
