Who's Presenting

Benjamin Sheridan

Ben Sheridan has been a proud educator for 18 years. He has taught in international schools in Thailand, India, Cambodia, Korea, and Indonesia. Ben has worked as a classroom teacher, learning innovation coach, technology coordinator, instructional designer, university lecturer, and consultant. Ben is passionate about using sound pedagogy together with innovative technology to accelerate learning. He feels technology can be leveraged to enhance literacy, increase student motivation and engagement, and empower students to take control of their learning. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership with a focus on professional learning.

Cora Yang

Cora Yang is a Whole School Learning Technology Coach at Renaissance College Hong Kong. She focuses on PYP and MYP technology integration, such as coding, robotics, VR, digital design (3D, laser cut) and circuit board.
She believes that technology is the bridge for students to connect school with the real world. Technology can offer students more possibilities and opportunities to apply knowledge to different real-life skills.
Cora is a curious learner who is always up for new things and technologies to learn. Just like her curiosity, she loves bringing new technologies for educators and students to enrich the learning and teaching experience.
Cora constantly offers chances for students in her classes to work on project-based, student-centered activities.

She thinks that passionate, persistent and humorous, approachable would be the words that match her work style. Do NOT let her talk about work, once she starts, she will NEVER stop!
When Cora is not working, she enjoys being a new mom with her kid on the beach, playing with fabric in front of sewing machines and going on a family stroll outside.

Sandra Chow

Sandra Chow is Director of Digital & Innovative Learning at Keystone Academy, in Beijing, and is dedicated to preparing the next generation for their future. She has over 20 years of experience as an educator in Canada and internationally, and strives to prepare students and train educators to be instructional creators in a global community.

She is an ISTE Certified Educator, Apple Distinguished Educator and Professional Learning Specialist, Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert, and Google Certified Coach, Innovator, and Trainer, as well as a Global Competence and GCAA Certified Practitioner. Her experience as a professional accountant, educational consultant, and cross-cultural educator provides her with a unique perspective as a leader. She strives to prepare students and train educators to learn, teach, collaborate and create in a globally competitive society.

Dalton Flanagan

As a dedicated Learning and Innovation Coach at Chinese International School in Hong Kong, I bring over a decade of experience in education, having worked across Asia, including Thailand, Cambodia, and Hong Kong.

Fueled by a passion for designing authentic project-based learning experiences, I strive to connect students' learning journeys with cutting-edge technologies, fostering engagement and promoting in-depth exploration. My enthusiasm for discovering and experimenting with new technologies drives me to seamlessly integrate them into the classroom environment.

My recent forays into the realm of advanced AI models, such as Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, and ChatGPT, have further expanded my ability to engage and inspire students and educators. As an ardent advocate for knowledge sharing and collaboration, I delight in presenting my educational explorations at conferences worldwide.

Dr. JIAO Jianli

Director of Future Education Research Center, South China Normal University

Dr. JIAO Jianli is Professor of Educational Technology and Director of the Future Education Research Center (FERC) at the School of Information Technology in Education (SITE), South China Normal University (SCNU), Guangzhou, China.

Dr. Jiao is a pioneer in teaching and learning with educational technologies in mainland China. He has taught a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses in educational technologies, instructional system design, and Social Networking System in Education, and facilitated professional development programs for in-service teachers and faculty.

Dr. Jiao’s research interests span educational technology, blended and online learning, technology-enhanced learning in K12, higher education, and technology-enhanced teachers’ professional education, as well as minimalism Educational Technologies.
Dr. Jiao has published extensively on digital teaching, learning and assessment in K-12 schools and higher and professional education.
His current work focuses on Technology-enhanced teachers’ professional development, digital and social learning, Massive Open Online Courses, Online, Flipped Learning and Blended Learning as well as Teaching and Learning in 1:1 Settings.
Dr. Jiao is one of the most highly cited scholars in Mainland China in the field of education, especially in the field of educational technology. He listed as one of top 50 researchers (ranked No.20) by the National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) according to publication citation and reference index database of CNKI. He has extensive experience in working with in-service K-12 teachers in formal and informal learning contexts.
Dr. Jiao also has instructional design experience within corporate and higher education settings.

Zhang Jianlan

Head of Institute of Leadership and Education Advanced Development, Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University

Mr. Jianlan Zhang currently serves as the Head of Institute of Leadership and a Professor at the Academy of Future Education. Mr. Zhang holds a Master's degree from the University of Maryland and a Ed.D from East China Normal University. He served as a visiting scholar at the School of Education at the University of Maryland in 2017 and joined the Harvard Principal's Center program in 2019. With 27 years of experience in higher education, secondary school management, international Education, art education, and K-12 education in China. He used to be the director of the former Higher Education Division and International Exchange and Cooperation Division of Suzhou Education Bureau, the director of the office, and the secretary of the Party committee of the agency. He has successively served as the headmaster of Jiangsu Suzhou High School of Art (Suzhou No. 6 Middle School), the founding principal of Rugao International Academy BFSU, the the Principal of Overseas Chinese Academy Chiway, and the general principal of Suzhou Peking University New Century Shiheng School in Jiangsu Province. As a researcher, he commits to educational research and development and is keen to do the comparisons with different countries on a special educational issue, such as Aesthetic Education in urban and rural areas, the academic adaptability of university students, and the leadership style between private and public schools.

Howard Stribbell

CIEO Director of International Education. Howard has more than 15 years of experience as a principal of international schools and has served as school director and board member of many international schools. Through more than 20 years of experience in campus operation and management, Howard has demonstrated outstanding campus construction and system integration capabilities. He founded the Canadian Overseas Schools Association (COSA) and served as President of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Macau. Howard has a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from The University of Lethbridge and carried his PhD in Technology Education and Management from Assumption University, Thailand in 2022. Howard is also a Co-Founder of International Education Solutions - IES

Sally Yuan

CEO at All As Online Education

Sally holds a Master's degree in Education from the United States and is a certified teacher with seven years of experience in American and Chinese public schools. She's a founding member of an education company listed on the US stock market, with expertise in product development and management. Over the past 15 years, Sally has led R&D for online and offline courses, ensured teaching quality, cultivated a large team, and successfully led ventures resulting in annual sales in the tens of millions. She has managed roadshows for the company's IPO, established global partnerships, and held roles as a lead researcher on national projects, initiator and vice chairman of the Beijing Education Association, and author of educational books. Previously, she served as the Vice Principal of an international school in Beijing, standardizing workflows and implementing a cross-cultural team management model.
