ISTE Certified Eduators From St. Marks Anglican Community School
Head of Digital Learning
St. Marks Anglican Community School
The focus on designing personalised and authentic learning experiences is crucial in order to support students to become independent, self-directed and engaged learners within and beyond school. I love being able to combine my creativity, pedagogical knowledge and skills, and content knowledge to work with other teachers, leaders and students to plan and implement these new learning experiences.
Kelly has taught in many different types and sizes of schools in Western Australia across all year levels and many curriculum areas since 1995. After completing her Master of Education in 2014, specialising in Teacher Librarianship (with a digital and inquiry focus), and Professional Certificate of Instructional Leadership in 2015, Kelly has enjoyed working in a variety of technology integration and leadership roles.
Prior to this, while teaching part-time and raising children, Kelly also followed her other passion of music composition, and completed a Bachelor of Music (Hons) at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts - she has created and produced several fringe shows over the last few years, and hopes to make time to write a stage musical based on some fascinating local history.
Kelly is currently leading a project at her school to connect the ISTE Standards for Students to the Australian Curriculum General Capabilities, collaborating with other teachers and leaders to integrate and develop these from Kindy to Year 10 across all learning areas.
