Life would be easy if we could just drop off a piece of technology hardware into a classroom and watch the magic happen as teachers simply knew exactly how to use the devices to support their curriculum. While there are a ton of talented teachers out there, most of us normal people need additional support and training when something new is introduced into our teaching world.
Dave Neudorf and the team at International School Kuala Lumpur understand that professional learning is an important aspect for any new device or method. While most schools might simply send off their teachers to a workshop somewhere or bring in a consultant, ISKL decided to host an iPad conference just for elementary school educators.
While Dave called this move “selfish” as it is a true benefit to his school’s learning culture, it really is a gift to others in the region looking for a conference aimed at a very specific, neglected tribe of teacher: Elementary educators.
