The future is already here — it’s just not very evenly distributed. – William Gibson

The disruption caused by the pandemic has reinforced what we already knew. That there are innovative practitioners leading the way in education, and there are innovative schools that have systematically reimagined how education can be delivered, but these tend to be pockets of innovation.

The purpose of this workshop series is to level the playing field and make these innovative areas of practice accessible to everyone that is interested.

Each workshop will be an engaging two hour journey through a particular topic. Workshops may be repeated through the year and may lead on to follow up workshops that go deeper into a particular aspect.

Workshop Design Principles

PD Equity: School Transformation requires upskilling of all staff in school – the workshops are overall targeted not just at educators but admin staff in schools that are critical to ensuring schools meet their mission

  • Collaboration: Transformation requires inter-departmental collaboration – the workshops encourage team attendance from schools
  • Visionary: Painting the picture – Workshops help participants see a picture of what is possible and provide a road map for how to get there
  • Engaging and relevant: Workshops have been intentionally designed and are hosted by 407 learning.
  • Participant time is valuable and we want to honor it.
